Criticism?

mine's the top right hand corner. :)

Alhamdulillah, syukur, thanks be to Allah, for all the great things that he has bestowed upon us.

Today's been really tiring. I've not been sleeping well too. Not too sure why, but i hope to get some good night's sleep tonight. We had the KEANE agency from London today to critic our current progress of the Emirates Country Club. So far so good, they love the brand, logo and name. Advertisement wise? They'd like something coca-cola. Haha the term my tutor would use. Typical seaside country life photos. Nothing too provocative. I think there's some truth in that too :)

Anyway, would LOVE to post some of the developments here, but i'm really knackered. There's just been too many things happening. Oh and by the way, my request for a placement/work experience with Dentsu didn't get through. They don't have an open spot at their office right now. So... can't do anything about it. Ahhhhhh.

I was really heartbroken and shattered by the news. Though i kinda knew it was gonna happen anyway. I mean, looking at the economy, amount of work and limited resources? You do the math. But then, ever since being in Uni, listening to the great people who've come and gave advice and tips, the one thing i learned was to NEVER GIVE UP. I remembered someone saying " Don't give up, till you've dropped dead!"

Funny. Trevor Beattie, the legendary advertman who came in last week, also said not to give up. Just keep doing what you love and do your best. Yeah cheesy. But it's true. Many tend to forget the basis of this. But then again, it's quite subjective.

Enough about those kind of blabberings. I've been addicted to Alexander Rybaks' songs. Well only two to be honest. They are amazing. Really worth listening to. He's a norwegian violinist+singer. He's just won the Eurovision 2009. Well, congratulations!

I've got four briefs on hand now. Am really not wanting to work on ANYTHING tonight. Updates:

Mini T-shirt design
Trees 2000 festival shirt design
GRT DMA Sophie Lancaster brief
Emirates Country Club brief
Negotiated Project Proposal

Ahhhh four briefs at once! Never done before. Apparently, typical account managers/art directors/designers would have 30-40 projects running at the same time. Can you imagine. Woooooooooo. All needs to be in SOON or before 8th of June. Brilliant. And i was just about to breathe.

I've got a student gathering tomorrow at Margaret Street. Hope it's gonna be good. A chance to mingle around. Hmm. It's been awhile since i did so anyway LOL

Goodnight!

True, cliche but VERY true. Never give up. Losing something doesn't mean you've failed. You just haven't succeeded yet. And to be successful, there's not only one way. There are millions of ways. You make the choices. To succeed or not, it's your choice. And the tried and tested ways aren't the only ways to be successful. Every person has different capacity & abilities.

See, I'm rambling! But at least it's a productive rambling, hehe.
