Hilmi going digital in digital media?...

I'm trying to get acquainted with going digital in writing down my journal. It is supposedly more cost-efficient and u can directly paste images of your or in this case MY work straight into the DRVJ(digital research visual journal).

Personally, i feel better writing things down with pen and paper. But the thought of having to carry the whole A3 folder up and down from my place to the Uni is such a hassle. Wait... not really. The other reason i'm doing this is so that i can save time rather than needing to print and print and waste paper. not to mention inks. phew...

i tried doing something tonight with the journal. Oh and by the way, i'm using KEYNOTE to present my journal. I think it should be alright :)

just hope i'm gonna manage. hehe

anyways, today i started my Digital Media module. This of which will last for another 7 weeks. i'll be exploring RASTER and VECTOR images. Digital manipulation and other acquaintances in this module. Sounds fun? well yes it is ladies and gents.

Our first assignment would be to choose a form of music; lyrics, tune, album and etc, then to create one RASTER based artwork and one VECTOR based artwork.

i have in mind:

Raster:

SAD TANGO by Rain/Bi

Vector:

FUEGO by Bond

hmm the reason i chose sad tango, tango? cause i thought tango would be a good idea (for now) to develop in. Dance mixed with despair, sad feelings. What an amusement! :D

Fuego means fire in Spanish. I have always loved that song. Hmm i was thinking of a musical instrument juxtaposed in an element. Fire? Matador?

anyways, pray i'll do great too this time insyaAllah =)

tomorrow's Media and Materials module with Sam and Kelvin Poulton. =) Should be interesting.

till then,

Hilmi Ramlan
